Who is Walt Disney Animation Studios?

Walt Disney Animation Studios (WDAS) is one of the longest running animation studios. WDAS holds a long running legacy of creating some of the most memorable films such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Frozen.

Timeframe: 4 months (summer 2022)

Skills/Responsibilities:

• Conducting Interviews

• Designing wireframes and mockups of new tools

• Providing Quick Feedback Sessions to Engineers

• Recording and Documenting Processes

• Preparing Slide Decks for Stakeholders

• Organizing and Analyzing Data

Key Accomplishments: 

• Completed contextual interviews for documentation of modeling and layout departments

• Updated design language of for internal tools (Playbook and DLight)

• Established design protocol for a new team

• Redesigned internal tools for WCAG accessibility and flow

• Provided feedback sessions for UI

• Optimized artist pipeline by 67% after creating a user flow chart of artists' daily functions to manage and reduce number of programs used
